The original story - It's about a reform committee comprised of all the people that caused the problems in the first place. Direct from the article at harpers.org:

Everyone rational knows that there is an enormous need to seriously reform the derivatives market, but the committee, headed by Congressman Barney Frank (D-Wall Street), invited a panel of eight guests who were distinguished by their uniformly pro-industry positions. They included Jon Hixson of Cargill, James Hill of Morgan Stanley (on behalf of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association), Stuart Kaswell of the Managed Funds Association (which, through one of its lobbyists, has delivered significant “bundled” donations to Frank) and Christopher Ferreri of the Wholesale Markets Brokers Association.

Then some concerned citizens didn't think this was a balanced committee so someone else, Rob Johnson of the Roosevelt Institute, was called in last-minute (the night before the meeting). His opening statement was (more or less) "I'm here to represent the taxpayer" as soon as he said this, the rest of the committee cut his speaking time short, at less than 5 minutes. This was after everyone else had plenty of time to say (more or less) "regulation would make prices for things like flour and chicken fluctuate uncontrollably." This guy, representing the taxpayer, did however write up a full report, identifying weaknesses and unfairness of Frank's Bill, but it was never posted or included anywhere because he didn't have it ready at this meeting. Frank's Bill basically states big banks can do whatever they want with money - federal or state laws don't apply to them, they are exempt from Federal anti-fraud or anti-manipulation requirements, exempt from state gaming and anti-bucket shop laws, their trades do not need to be reported (this way they can't find evidence to prosecute fraud or manipulation charges, if they applied).

They can launder, extort, and manipulate money at will and never be subject to tax regulation or law. Oh - and they won't allow small, honest banks to exist. They're pushing hard for a One World Bank. Bankers rule most of the world - Read here - skip down to the Tally Stick.

Just added the song today, found it randomly at www.entertonement.com listening to BamBam call Kanye West a Jackass. A friend and I went through 16 hours of driving from CT to ATL and then back, constantly repeating the infectious line the entire time. On the ride we saw many a Combination KFC and Taco Bell, but only a sign for a Pizza Hut & Taco Bell (with combination KFC). I was informed in Atlanta that it's now with combination Long John Silver. The trip was great, now listen to the song at least 4 times in a row.

Search for yourself about this story of the detention in Italy of two Japanese nationals found by border authorities crossing into Switzerland carrying a suitcase with $134 BILLION worth of US bearer bonds in a false bottom.

Even though it happened in June, and there's over 85,000 results, most of the stories are all from June. Most raise questions and compare it to movies and novels, hence the LA Confidential reference; but none follow up and there is no other information after the initial 'facts' are presented.

So Who knows what's up... I don't think anyone cares because it is not on the [HD]TV or the newspaper/blogs/tweets/shit. I wrote this at the wholesaleboycott.com website because some are snubbing Wholesale Foods for it's CEO John Mackey saying that Gov.t should have no role in health care because it's not in the Constitution. He's right, they're retarded - read on:

I don't know exactly what he said, but I'm with John Mackey in that there's nothing in the Constitution about health care. Gov.t should NOT have any role in providing health care to all, maybe children, but not over 18 or under 65 (debatable - I feel suicide, Dr. Kevorkian, etc. should all be options).

Government's Role should be to clamp down on Insurance companies and ensure Big Pharmaceutical or other Companies can't monopolize the industry. The plan Obama has takes away the Gov.ts buying power, allowing Pharmaceuticals Companies to set any price they want and we HAVE to pay that - it's fucking retarded (abort retarded babies if you want to, or don't, or donate the embryo - we have the technology - but DO NOT use taxpayer money to support that child if the parents want it, unless we have universal child health care).

Gov.t and the FDA should not support the mass production and hazardous foods like the DNA altering, formaldehyde producing, Don Rumsfeld endorsed, CIA biochemically developed (as a poison) Aspartame sugar that comes in not only the packets, but in many individually wrapped, single serving, and microwaveable foods we are cramming down our throats because there is NO alternative EXCEPT Whole Foods.

Those that were Whole Foods Shoppers and now boycott them are Jack-Offs, eating the propaganda and not the healthy real shit that WF offers. You don't like the opinion of the CEO so you're not going to eat the good stuff anymore? Marijuana is a much better, natural relief from anything that Big Pharmaceutical's 1000's of Drugs/Pills supposedly fix (and the 100's of side effect each one comes with), and there's never been a death from using it in over 6,000 years. Hemp can be used for more shit that anything else in the world, like paper, clothing, oils, vitamins, plastics, rope, etc. Rich companies that use trees and petroleum and cotton instead of hemp won't get the demand prices they want because hemp would be so cheap.

I am not a pessimist just because reality shows me that everything is bullshit. I used to say that people were getting it wrong and that there's not a circle of life but a spiral, and it's a downward spiral. Then I stumbled this (Native American) Indian Prophecies page and read this excerpt (from the bottom in the 'conclusion'):

"Native traditions are rooted in magic, myth and metaphor; Western traditions, in science, history and fact. For the first time in human history both are accessible. Now, when you combine the two concepts the result is a spiral. It is a different image retaining the qualities of both, but its implications are deeper and richer."

Like I've Been Saying... it's a downward spiral, right now, but if you read the page, there's ways we can make it an upward spiral. Whether an inward or outward spiral is better is still up for debate.

We all just need to smoke (like the natives) and SHARE IT, sharing is the most important part. If you're too individual then you've got no one to share with. Rant: The government is trying to break up the family by legally defining it, they want us to be individuals so we have no group and it's easier to "get" us.

Just some cool videos i found at www.filmsforaction.org. They have lots of different videos, some just clips of movies available through my Spread the Word link to the left. I suggest looking at the "Prometeus" videos, a neat concept of conglomeration and information, with some brilliant animation and transitions, presented in a Huxley-like view. This video from Films For Action is informational and from the news; about who owns who in the media and how tons of advertiser dollars influence what is reported. Notice how the Fox News guy defends his employers. I give him credit though for allowing the guest to finish his thoughts and even interupt him.

I suppose this is a place to rant and rave (while following the Terms of Service) about what is bothering me (and everything does). I'll figure it out as i go along.

First off, does anyone know why all my mac programs stopped working ? iCal, iPhoto, calculator, email... anything that comes on the mac has stopped loading, the black arrow appears and the program can be alt+tabbed to, but there is no menu for it and no windows. You can force quit the program, but not use it, and calculator just spins the hard drive as fast as it can while showing that it's not responding.

Second, what the front-door is the ARMY doing calling my house non-stop saying "it's important that you call me back ASAP" and then harassing me at home by ringing my bell to try and convince me to die for lies. Someone tell Mr. Bush i am not with him. I guess seeing that i still have student loans unpaid that they thought i was poor enough to target. Well i am poor enough seeing how the thieves at the almighty IRS want my hard earned money and are charging me to pay it to them. Not only that but the payment plan i bought charges more in interest and penalties each month than i actually send in. Slave for life, unless i win the Lottery. I can't gamble cuz then the Gov.'t couldn't get it's cut. Anyway, these recruiters said they we checking with WCSU alumni for joining up. My cousin had no student loans, no calls, no knocking on the door. Don't they know that the prez only made public schools stupider, in college they tell you what books to read and charge you $450 to have someone ask you questions about them for a few months. I was an Art major so I learned how to cut paper and glue it in college, it was like kindergarten but without the nap time. I also had to take a shit ton of courses that had nothing to do with art, and were not transferable between CCSU and WCSU. Even though it's all one big state institution, one school didn't like the way the other school taught the courses. One school taught you how to do the work and the other taught you how to bullshit about blah blah and the teachers only advise is "push it further." Push him off a cliff.
I have to stop, i don't make sense. i didn't collect my thoughts. i never do, they'll use it against me. Newspeak is here, the thought police are watching.
